Losing our Focus...
Sounds like a pretty serious topic, doesn't it?
Like I'm even capable of seriousness.
It's official, I am a soccer mom.
Let me rephrase that. I now own transportation similar to that of a soccer mom.
A Ford Focus with 95,000 miles on it and no air condition is not really desirable when you are raising two young children in southeast Texas. We are now the proud owners of a Dodge Grand Caravan as of last week.
(oh my...I'm turning into my father....)

His Littlest Lamb
Emma was baptized on Monday evening. We had a modest little gathering of some close friends and watched the miracle of God working faith in Emma through water and the Word. Her godparents are Uncle Ben J and Aunt Amy.
It was a neat experience. Maddie was more curious about the water part. Perhaps she thought it was bath time more than anything else. We rejoice that both of our little ladies are a part of the family of God!

Way to Proud, Part Two...
Alright, apparently my first attempt didn't work out, but I couldn't go on living, knowing that I teased y'all without delivering.
Click here and lets see if this works...enjoy!

South Seattle...
At least that's where we must be living after the last week straight of rain. I have managed to mow the grass a couple times, repair the sprinkler head I mowed over the first time, replace the french drain covers I mowed over...see a trend here?
Actually, though, we are settling into the new house nicely. I figure it will start to feel "home-y" once we start the routine of the school year.
Got a nice little weedwhacker from my dear wife for our anniversary. We spent the day running errands and the like, kept it low key. It would have been nice if our LARGE second child decided to grace us with their presence, but alas, no luck. We are getting to a point where inducing labor or a C-section are strong possibilities. Prayers are readily accepted.
At least for the time being we have the Brewers and Tigers to keep us occupied. Who knows...maybe we will have TWO reasons to watch the playoffs this year!
