Auntie Em is nowhere to be seen

We are well away from the eye of Katrina, thank goodness. My wife keeps wandering around the house mumbling something under her breath about not needing to "live through a hurricane". Despite some nasty storms on Saturday night, we have seen little effects of the hurricane but expect some rain in the near future. Our prayers are certainly with those in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and Flordia.

Not much to write about. Just wanted to throw my two cents in about the weather. (Man, I am gettin' old if thats all I can talk about!)

Enjoy some more Maddie!

Erin Malenke aka Bama Girl had just started teaching 2nd grade at a little intercity Lutheran school in the heart of New Orleans. It's safe to say that the school will be destroyed and a very good chance everything Erin just moved into her apartment is also gone. By the grace of God Erin made it to her parents house in Alabama before the storm hit but please pray for her and her ministry.

We are working closely with N.O. Lutheran High School to assist in every way we can. Once the waters recede and clean up begins we will try to take some of our Seniors to help. Let me know what school she is with.
