Odds and Ends...

Bad News First: The offer Erin and I put in to a house a week and a half ago was verbally okayed by the bank...until they got back a second appraisal and put it back on the market for $16,000 over what we can afford.

Good News: Tonight the Concordia Lutheran Crusader Varsity Baseball team defeated Woodlands Christian Academy 7-5, scoring 6 runs in the top of the seventh to seal the win. It has been a long season, with some close calls and not so close calls. We haven't won a game in our district (conference) and TWCA won their district, so this was a big one. I was happiest for our seniors and proud of the boys for not laying down when things looked bad.

We continue to search houses, hoping to be "smitten" again. The pictures are of the Astros-Brewers game we attended on Monday. Lots of home runs, but a Brewers loss. Which reminds me, that a certain Major League team from Michigan (who will remain nameless, as not to jinx them) has won four in a row...there really IS hope!
